gell mann effect leads me to pay closer attention and then its game over

Did he not notice that every CV listed the previous "mission" as reimagining money with shitcoins and NFTs?

I thought you generally knew what you were talking about till i read this. Now I am wondering if you know anything at all.

Garry is buying horses for all the defenders in this thread.

No he wont fund your startup.

Still better than when he was making death threats against public officials.

Letting this guy run the show is a public declaration of the moral bankruptcy of the tech sphere.

I think the reality is that it is harder to sell a subscription to a button than it is to software.

Yeah, that's true. Sigh.

Need to smear some A1 on those NFTs to get the job done properly.

Then let the market decide.

It is still, as far as I am aware, possible to steal a rental car.

No one renting a car is being told they are buying it and walking (driving) away under the assumption that they have.

Kinda glossed over the whole IP theft industrial espionage thing.

Not at all ironic given the shrieking about China.

Back then there weren’t as many conventions and treaties governing IP, as one might imagine —which is why the British attempted export controls!

I guess the same goes for why the Americans attempt export controls in 2026

Every successful country has done it. First they make liberal use of others' IP then when they are generating IP themselves they try hard to protect it.

Not limited to IP, they also do this with real property when they can.

Not limited to property, they do this with every single regulation. Think about Europe and chlorinated chicken.
