Are they? Rocket Lab is near me, I know a lot of people working there. They haven't flown Neutron rocket yet. Meanwhile SpaceX is already planning to sunset Falcon 9 which is same scale as Neutron. I don't see them being very competitive with Starship, despite being so much cheaper.

I bought a used computer four years ago to edit 4K video, tens of thousands of raw files off my big Sony cameras, write, light code and research. Many thousands of hours of hard use.

In five years I’ve never had a single program crash and certainly not the whole system go down. Uptime is many months.
